Although the Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been offered in Europe for a while now, we are now getting the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz’s entry-level hatchback and sedan model. In both cases, a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine delivers 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, which is enough to get to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. This makes the Mercedes-Benz A-Class one of the fastest models in its price range.
The A-Class is also offered as a sedan, which starts at $34,990. The A-Class sedan gets the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but its horsepower is rated at 188 while torque is rated at 221 pound-feet. This doesn’t make the A-Class any slower, as its acceleration clocks in at 7.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
